Ashford Borough Council residents can recycle their real trees again this year with Pilgrims Hospices ‘Tree Recycling’ Christmas tree collections.
Just register your details and, in return for a chosen donation to the hospice, we will visit your home in the new year to pick up your tree.
Give to charity; get rid of your Christmas tree
Every £20 raised by the hospice scheme could cover the cost of 1 hour’s care from a Pilgrims nurse – on the ward, in patients’ own homes or in the community.

Doorstep collections take place across the Ashford Borough on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 January 2017.

Victoria Lawrence, Community Fundraising Manager for Pilgrims Hospice Ashford, said: “Our hospice elves are already getting ready for the busy lead up to our fabulous Tree Recycling scheme. Last year we collected more than 800 Christmas trees and raised over £14,000 for the hospice. We hope to raise even more this time.”

Volunteer for the hospice: can you leaflet your street?
Teams of volunteers will be leafleting for the Tree Recycling scheme between Christmas and New Years Eve.
Leafleting your street could make a big difference to the success of this fundraising event. It’s also a fun way to make a difference for your local hospice and to burn off the Christmas calories!
Email Victoria Lawrence to ask for some fliers to deliver in your street.
Local businesses: can you pledge your support?
Several local companies have already pledged their support to help with our Christmas Tree Collections in Ashford.
Special thanks to our sponsors, Andrew & Co Estate Agents and Ashford Borough Council. Thanks also to Givaudan, PSR, Countrystyle, Headley Brothers Ltd, Waitrose and Medash who have said they will help with tree collections again.
Email us if your company would like to lend a hand.
