Ashford Borough Council propose that Community Councils are formed for South Ashford and the other unparished areas of urban Ashford in Draft Recommendations resulting from their Community Governance Review.

Free summer fun for families!
The Summer Reading Challenge for children starts in all Kent libraries on Saturday 11 July.
The Challenge, organised by The Reading Agency charity and your local library, encourages children aged 4 to 11 to read 6 books during the long summer break.
Children will collect stickers for reading whichever library books they choose. When they read 6 books they will receive a fantastic medal and certificate. (more…)

Kent’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Ann Barnes, is inviting victims and witnesses of crime in Kent to have their say.
The Office of the Kent Police and Crime Commissioner has created a short survey designed to find out what victims and witnesses’ experiences of the criminal justice system have been. The survey is anonymous and will only take a couple of minutes to complete. (more…)
