The proposals for the comprehensive redevelopment of the derelict Elwick Place site, adjacent to shared space in the heart of Ashford town centre, are due to go on public display later this month. These initial proposals, from the leading UK developer Stanhope, represent in excess of £75 million of private investment into Ashford, and include –
- A multi-screen Cinema
- A family hotel to support the borough’s growing tourist economy
- Restaurant space to attract high quality dining experiences
- Homes, including private apartments, rental and retirement properties
- Attractive public space and landscaping
The plans, which have been designed by Guy Hollaway Architects, will be presented to the public for the first time at a public exhibition at Unit 16A in County Square Shopping Centre, adjacent to the site. The dates are as follows
- Thursday 30 July: 10am – 3pm
- Friday 31 July: 3pm – 8pm (attendees are advised to enter via the Tufton St entrance after 7pm)
