Kent Environment Strategy

Kent County Council want to know what you think of the revised Kent Environment Strategy, and the themes and priorities outlined within it.

The consultation will run from 27 July to 25 September 2015.

Kent faces unprecedented growth and change over the coming decades. Kent Environment Strategy 2015: A strategy for environment, health and economy recognises and addresses the challenges and opportunities that this will bring.  Through building on the successes of the last strategy and working in partnership, Kent partners can collectively harness the many opportunities to create positive health and economic outcomes.

Working together, our task is to continue to support much needed economic growth whilst protecting and enhancing our natural and historic environment and creating and sustaining communities that are vibrant, healthy and resilient. A shared vision and successful collaborations will result in actions that will ensure that Kent truly is a place of choice to live, work and visit.

Your views will help to shape the final Strategy, which will be presented to KCC’s Environment & Transport Cabinet Committee on 4 December 2015.

The draft Strategy and supporting documents are available from the KCC consultation page. Please let KCC know your thoughts by completing the online questionnaire (via the ‘Respond to this Consultation’ section on the KCC page).
