Attempted robbery in Victoria Park

Police car imageKent Police is appealing for any information about an incident that occurred at around 1am in Victoria Park, Ashford, on Saturday 14 November.

A man in his 40s was reportedly approached from behind by two men who threatened him and demanded valuables.

After a struggle, the suspects left the scene empty-handed but Kent Police is keen to locate them.

Both suspects are described as being around 5ft 6in to 5ft 7in tall. They were of average build, both wearing dark coloured hooded tops with the hoods up. They sprinted off towards Brookfield Road.

Bank staff might ask for your PIN or on-line banking password to check who you are when they call you.

Reality

Bank staff will never ask you for your 4 digit card PIN number or on-line banking password when speaking with you over the phone.

They would never ask you to tap them into the telephone key pad either.
