Illuminites Ashford

Ashford’s Winter Forest

Come and experience Ashford’s enchanting Winter Forest—a trail of illuminated trees around the town centre. The trees are Ashford-themed, showcasing our rich history, famous landmarks, and illustrious residents for a striking installation that evokes a wintery woodland walk.

On display for two nights only, catch it while you can!

A 5-minute digital mapping projection on the side of International House, celebrating Ashford’s rich heritage and history with a festive twist. Watch in wonder as the building transforms before your eyes, falling away and reappearing in a kaleidoscope of imagery.

Coachworks will have food and drink, and a small market of local traders.

Carnival of the Baubles

14th December
5.30pm
Elwick Place, Bank Street and the Lower High Street

Starting at Elwick Place, this beautiful procession of giant illuminated baubles will make its way up Bank Street to the Lower High Street. Featuring processional bands, live dance and a giant mechanical puppet, this exciting winter carnival is not to be missed!

Keep your eyes peeled for the illuminated baubles as they pop up in shop windows in the weeks leading up to the event!


Asthma workshop

Do you want to have your say about new asthma services?

KSSAHSN* want to hear from you about your own experiences of healthcare and think about how technology could support you in managing and improving your health and well-being.

This workshop will be one of several, looking at new ways to improve the lives of people living with one or more conditions including asthma, cardiovascular disease, Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and diabetes.

Bowens Field Bridges

Important message for those coming to Create on foot

Please note that one of the footbridges in Bowens Field (no.2 on the left of the plan below) has had to be closed for urgent repair.

Boens Field Bridge

With Create coming up on Saturday, accessing Victoria Park from Beaver Road, access is still available through the footpath/cycle path in Bowens Field via the entrance into Godfrey Walk (marked no.1 on the right of the plan).

You can also walk through Bowens Field housing estate via the footways.
