Ashford Borough Council (ABC) have appointed a consultant to undertake a review of the Conservation Area (CA) of Ashford Town Centre. This includes an updated appraisal of the CA which describes the history and character of the area as well as discussing enhancement opportunities in a new management plan. The document is in draft form and ABC would like the views of local residents on the content. You can view the draft appraisal and proposals through this online consultation, where you can make as many comments as you wish.
ABC are also holding a public exhibition in St Mary’s Church Hall on Saturday 28th November from10am-1pm for residents and business owners to come along and view the documents in person. (more…)

The proposals are for 622 apartments and 28 houses on the site that comprises most of the undeveloped land either side of Victoria Way.

The meeting falls in Parliament Week. There will be a session on the theme of “Do Democracy”
Quinn Estates are proposing 622 apartments and 22 houses on the “Powergen” site that comprises most of the undeveloped land either side of Victoria Way.
An exhibition was held in County Square on 26th October but, unfortunately, timing led to many who were affected not being able to visit the exhibition.
Quinn Estates have kindly provided South Ashford Community Forum with pdf copies of the display boards. We have posted links to the files below, which will open in Google pdf viewer.
Some displays were split across two boards; we have combined those with plans into a single sheet but this does show minor discrepancies at the join line.
