We have published the first print edition of what we hope will become a regular news-sheet for South Ashford. We plan to publish quarterly. We have been fortunate to raise funding for distribution of this edition to every household in the area. To enable us to continue to
publish we will need to include advertisements. Future editions may be distributed through community organisations.

There has been a problem with the application that is used to generate our Calendar. The app provider has given us a temporary workaround so it is now functioning correctly. Our apologies for any inconvenience.
Following our post of 12 May 2015 we South Ashford Community Forum has reviewed the ‘Draft recommendations for the further electoral review of Kent County Council’. published by the Local Government Boundary Commision for England (LGBCE) . Although there is little change from the existing divisions that serve South Ashford we believe the boundaries could be improved.We have submitted our comments to the LGBCE. (more…)
The dates for Parliament Week 2015 have been announced as 16 – 22 November 2015. We are planning our meeting of 17 November as Parliament Week event.
South Ashford Community Forum (SACF) have submitted a proposal to Ashford Borough Council) for creation of a local council for South Ashford. The proposal, submitted in response to a consultation being undertaken by the Borough Council as part of a Community Governance Review is available from the Forum’s website: southashford.org.uk/index.php/about-us/publications/.
The Borough Council will consider SACF’s proposal alongside others received, then publish their draft recommendations in August 2015 for further consultation.
Colette Chaffey of Carers Support will be attending South Ashford Community Forum’s Meeting on 20 May 2015 to provide information on their Dementia Visitor Scheme
The aim of the scheme is to improve the experience of people with Dementia and their Carers during a stay in hospital.
